Objective· To develop the students appreciation of the oral tradition.
· To motivate the students to revive this dying art form.
· To enrich their language skills through exposure to this art form.
· To enable them to get a deeper insight into the different cultures highlighted in the stories, in particular the Tamil culture.


 
SynopsisEach performance will hold the attention of students by the use of drama, dance and music in the telling. There will be a large scope for interaction and student participation. The repertoire will include both modern and traditional stories such as:
- The story of Singapore
- Jataka tales
- Tenali Raman stories
- Stories of Akbar and Birbal
- Panchatantra tales
- Fables of the far-east
- Indian festivals
- Ramayana and Mahabharata 
Highlights to watch out forThe opportunity to watch a performance by an international storytelling artist. · The simple yet effective use of language. · Language learning made easy through the use of this art form. · A performance that is both educational and entertaining. - Special visual effects projected on screen!
