Objective· To teach the students to tell stories.
· To expose the students to different styles of story telling. E.g. Draw and tell, sign language telling, the use of puppets and of different performing styles.
· Exposure to different techniques used to present a story, such s the use of: voice, gestures, movements, music and dance.



 
Synopsis· Introduce the students to basic storytelling styles and techniques.
· Help the students understand the story structure.
· Help the students to create and present a tellable story.
· Teach bi-lingual storytelling to enrich their own mother tongue using English as a support language.
· Teach basic performance skills so the students can present their stories effectively. 
Highlights to watch out forA lively, hands-on approach to equipping students with basic story telling skills. Students will hear stories told by a skilled international storyteller and will discover the fun of teling stories themselves. They will develop their performance skills alongside a deeper appreciation of the art of storytelling, the oral tradition and of Tamil culture and language.
