Objective- To learn about over 10 types of ethnic Indian drums.
- To be able to learn basic rhythmic patterns and perform the ethnic percussion ensemble
 
SynopsisThe worksop will start by the instructor explaining how to play the following instruments:

Mridangam
Tavil
Tabla
Urumi
Khanjira
Morsing
Ghatam
Dholak
Udukkai
Pakwaj

Students will then be allowed to play small portions individually, and later they will join together to form an ensemble. 
Highlights to watch out for- Best performing students will be selected to represent the school and play in neighbourhood events 
Learning Points for the audienceStudents will learn the various playing techniques on different ethnic indian instruments, and will be able to follow basic rhythm patterns.
