SYAMA is committed to the growth of Indian arts among Singapore youth. SYAMA produces quality performances based on Carnatic Music (Classical Indian Music), by the youth. We also provide Arts Education Programmes in Music.

SYAMA was started as an informal forum of Singapore's young Indian classical musicians, in the year 2000. Registered in 2004 as a non-profit organisation under ROS, now after 3 years, we have grown substantially. Our objective is to grow Singapore into a vibrant city of arts, by involving youth actively into arts education.

SYAMA is now focussed on producing quality music and dance concerts/performances. SYAMA has planned for 3 events this year - A first-of-its-kind Musical, and a December Fest in Chennai music festival 2008, apart from our usual event 'The Other Festival'. SYAMA's accomplishments include performances at SAM for Music Box 2001, Kalautsavam '04 in Esplanade, Singapore Arts festival 03 and 04, as well as top prizes in the National Indian music competition 2000, 02 & 04 conducted by the National Arts Council.

We also conduct music lessons through our affiliate - SYAMA ACADEMY.
