Dear Friends
It looks like a long time since we started, but we are just 5 years old now! The monthly Youth concert series, starting of the academy wing, Workshop by Dr Padma Subrahmaniam, Pancharatna songs workshop by Mrs Prema Hariharan - all gave a good start. 'The Master's Piece', 'Different Strokes', 'Aarohanam', Chennai music festival '08, 'Prahlad - the musical', Dance ballets such as BLISS and DAASARU, our yearly event 'The Other Festival' - have all given us a unique position of staging the maximum number of ticketed Indian concerts/events in Singapore showcasing local artistes in the last 2 years.
Starting the celebrations of our 5th year, we have put together a grand musical. Marathi Abhangs have been evergreen favorites; but we bring them to you in a different package. What is Aashaadh Ekadesi? How do the marathis celebrate this? Get to know this through our musical, set to the backdrop of the story of 2 warkaris setting off on padayathra to Pandharur temple for the Aashaadh Ekadesi day.
